Faith Formation Ministry Team Update, March 2018

In January, the Faith Formation Ministry Vision Team engaged in a 2-day book study and workshop to better equip us to do the work of guiding and supporting Trinity’s faith formation ministries. A recurring theme in the workshop, led by Pastor Lutz and Brent Baxter, was “Jesus is Lord; it’s not about us.”

In February, we started a series of ongoing conversations with those involved in Trinity’s faith formation ministries. What ministries are working well? What ministries need support? What are some new ministries we might do together as the people of Trinity? The intention is that this new lay-led way of organizing ourselves will create a nimble congregation, responsive to the needs of Trinity and our surrounding community. It will also facilitate better communication within each ministry, each ministry hub, and between hubs.

We also selected a date to celebrate and lift up the many people who lead, participate in, or have an interest in faith formation. Who is that, exactly? All of us! Mark your calendars and watch for details for a Celebration of Faith Formation scheduled for Sunday, April 22 at 11:30 a.m.

Please continue to pray for the faith formation ministry vision team, the other teams, and the church, as we work together to move Trinity forward to serve God and one another.
