COMMUNITY SERVICE

  • Alanon (2 groups): Helps families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the problem drinking of a relative or friend.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous (2 groups): A fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
  • American Red Cross Bloodmobile:  The Penn-Jersey Region is one of 36 American Red Cross regional blood centers whose mission is to fulfill the needs of the American people for the safest, most reliable, most cost-effective blood, plasma and tissue services through voluntary donations. Blood drives are held at Trinity several times throughout the year.
  • Co-Dependency
  • Community Housing Services of Montgomery Community:  The mission of Community Housing Services is to provide permanent solutions to housing and related problems of homeless, low income and moderate income people in Montgomery County, PA. CHS provides emergency housing, lease/purchase, and first-time homebuyer's education, help for victims of domestic violence, Ezra House transitional housing for single males, and many other support services for persons in need of affordable housing. They also provide services such as Adopt-A-Family, Project Self-suffiency, Health & Wellness Center, Nurse Practitioners, and a Thrift Shop.
  • Indian Valley Opportunity Center:  an agency to assist area residents having difficulty meeting basic needs, including food, shelter, literacy, adult education, employment, and facilitate access to other social services through information and referral. The Center also helps area residents overcome cultural and langauge barriers.
  • Montgomery County Head Start Program:  A program for income-eligible families and their preschool children. More than 1,693 three-and four-year-olds are enrolled in 97 classes in public schools and in two community-based sites.
  • Montgomery County Parent & Infant Resource Guide:  Parent and Infant Resource Guide that provides a multitude of Agency referral services that include Abuse, Adoption, Basic Needs, Financial Assistance, Legal, Education, Employment & Training, Counseling, Family Services, Housing Services, Health Services, Interpreters, and Transportation.
  • Newcomers Clubs in Pennsylvania:  a directory of clubs and organizations which are designed to give people new to the area the opportunity to meet and develop friendships with others who live in the area.
  • North Penn/North Wales Nursing Mothers: a nonprofit volunteer organization offering mother to mother advice and counseling on nursing your baby and other parenting issues. Monthly meetings provide information and support, there are no dues or fees.
  • Official Montgomery County Voting Location
  • Overeaters Anonymous: A fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength, and hope are recovering from compulsive overeating.
  • Parents Network
  • PA Voter Registration:  The State of Pennsylvania provides information dedicated to voter registration. It provides the qualifications to vote and identifies several ways to register and provides answers to frequently asked questions.
  • Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Montgomery County: (RSVP) , A nationwide volunteer program for individuals over the age of 55 which is sponsored locally by the Montgomery County Volunteer and Community Service Center. RSVP assists seniors in finding interesting and rewarding volunteer opportunities based on their skills, interests, life experience, geographic preference and time availability.
