Dennis Smith, Manager of Building and Grounds

Dennis “Denny” Smith became Manager of Building and Grounds of Trinity Lutheran Church in April 1998. Denny brought many skills and technical expertise to this position. He has been in the maintenance field since 1979 when he was employed by Longacre Family Poultry. He has had considerable training in this specialized field, including being certified in Industrial Boiler Repair at Donlee Technologies, and Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration at Enthalpy Exchange of Williamsburg, Virginia.

He has also worked for Farm and Home Oil Company as a Service Technician and was certified by PPA (Pennsylvania Petroleum Association). His positions with Longacre Family Poultry and Farm and Home Oil provided him not only with training, it provided him the opportunity to acquire many skills in all areas of the maintenance field including: welding, fabricating, industrial three phase wiring and troubleshooting.

Born and raised in Souderton area, Denny currently lives in Souderton with his wife, Teresa. He has a daughter, Melissa, who is married to Robert Lombardo of Doylestown, with their two children, Nevaeh and Robert, and a son, Andrew, who is married to Covington, with their child, Lee. Denny’s interests include hunting, fishing, auto restoration and football.
